Historic Preservation
Whether you're a college student, a working professional, or just a lover of history looking for a challenge, everyone is welcome to participate in our unique program. Historic Preservation courses are open enrollment — students of all backgrounds and levels of experience can participate.
Through course work, special lectures, workshops, fieldwork, and internships, our students gain a broad-based preservation education, giving them the knowledge they need to move ahead at work and make a difference in their community.
All courses at Bucks are taken for college credit and are offered throughout the year. No experience necessary- our program is open enrollment. We hope you'll take the time to read the sections in the sidebar to become familiar with all the award-winning Bucks Preservation program has to offer!
Standards
The Bucks Historic Preservation Program meets the standards set forth by the National Council for Preservation Education.
Accreditation
Courses offered by Bucks County Community College are reviewed and approved by the college in advance of its accreditation by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
Distinction
Bucks students have won the coveted National Parks Service/American Institute of Architects' Charles E. Peterson Prize, which annually recognizes the best set of measured drawings prepared to Historic American Building Survey standards by college or university students.
