Comfort Dogs On Campus
Bucks County Community College’s Accessibility Office (TAO) has partnered with the Nor’wester Therapy Dog Organization to offer the Comfort Dogs on Campus Program. Jennifer Osinski, Director TAO, and Deborah Hoelper, Asst. Director TAO, coordinate the program in conjunction with the Nor’wester Therapy Dog and other Organizations at the Campuses. Thanks to the efforts of several faculty members and Tracy Timby, Dean, Business Studies Department, TAO was able to bring the Comfort Dogs on Campus Program to Bucks County Community College's Campuses.
The Comfort Dogs on Campus Program takes place at the midpoint and end of the fall and spring semesters on the Newtown, Upper and Lower Bucks Campuses. The events are not only for the students but also for staff and faculty members. This program allows for individual stress reduction as well as for the campus community to come together and enjoy a wonderful community service that is provided by the volunteers of the Nor’wester Therapy Dogs, ROXY Therapy Dogs and Angels on a Leash Organizations.
For your safety and the safety of others, all participants must always follow the instructions of the handlers. Failure to do so may lead to you being asked to leave the event. Thank you for your cooperation!
