Part Time Instructors wanted for Continuing Education Positions
Are you interested in teaching?
Bucks County Community College Continuing Education Department invites applicants from individuals in teaching non-credit classes. Classes vary in length and starting dates.
Instructors are needed in such areas as:
- Supply Chain Management
- Child Development Associate
- Computer Classes
- Art Classes
- Japanese
- Yoga and/or Pilates
- Spanish
- American Sign Language
- Literature
It is preferred, but not required, for instructors to have at least a Bachelors degree and work experience in the subject matter area.
Applications will be accepted until positions are filled.

The IT Academy is seeking instructors who have the following certifications: MCITP: Database Administrator, ASP.NET/C# and Visual Basic, MySQL/PHP

ATTENTION: PROSPECTIVE KIDS ON CAMPUS INSTRUCTORS
Join our team of enthusiastic, creative, dedicated camp instructors at Bucks County Community College
Dates: Kids on Campus will run from June 16 to August 8, 2025
Duration: Instructor Hours are Monday 8:00 am – 3:45 pm. Tuesday – Friday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. These hours include a paid lunch to oversee lunch duties and have lunch with the campers. Camps are weeklong.
Ages: Camps are divided into four age groups – Ages 5-6, Ages 7-9, Ages 10-12, and Ages 13-15. Camps can be offered one week for one age group and a second week for a different age group.
Description of position: Kids on Campus Summer Camps are specialty day camps designed by the instructors for one full week during the summer. These specialized camps are structured to mirror a classroom at school. Each week hosts a variety of different camps. Instructors can pick which weeks they are available to run their camp in the camp proposal form. Once the camp proposal form is submitted and approved, we will set up an interview. If successful, the instructor will be contacted by HR for the required paperwork, and we will add your camp to the camp schedule.
Types of Camps: Kids on Campus is looking for a variety of new camps to offer. Please let your creativity flow to develop fun and exciting camps for campers to experience during the summer. Camps can range from STEAM to outdoor camps focused on nature, to sports, to themed camps that instructors have a passion for, such as a Harry Potter themed camp.
Qualifications:
- Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Have experience working with and enjoy being with children.
- Must have experience with classroom management and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to communicate with Kids on Campus Staff and campers’ parents.
- Ability to design and implement a variety of age-appropriate curriculum and camp activities for an entire week of camp.
- Prefer a degree in education or high level of expertise in the subject area related to the camp you are interested in teaching.
- Must obtain background check, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprint, and Mandated Reporter Training prior to first day of work.
- Must submit all appropriate forms, including health history record, to Human Resources prior to the first day of work.
Hourly rate: $30.00

Non-Credit ESL Instructor Position
Bucks County Community College is seeking qualified individuals to join our team of talented ESL instructors for both day and/or evening courses. We are seeking instructors for all three campuses (Newtown, Bristol, and Perkasie) as well as online.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct ESL students across all four domains of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening.)
- Create and deliver effective lessons that engage students
- Teach according to established course objectives
- Maintain accurate student records (attendance, contact information, etc.)
- Attend meetings and professional development workshops to develop instructional skills
- Work collaboratively with other ESL instructors
Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in TESOL, Applied Linguistics or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree and a TESOL certification
- Must also have the ability to communicate effectively in English (native or near-native proficiency)
- Adult teaching experience preferred.
- Experience with SMART technology, and online learning platforms highly desired.
Additional Information:
Salary commensurate with education and experience.
