Kids on Campus Scholarships
Very Limited Scholarships Available
Submission Deadline: July 1, 2024
In 2005, the Administrative Employees’ Committee at Bucks County Community College established a Kids on Campus Scholarship Fund. This fund is intended to provide support for families that are most in need of financial assistance. While the availability of funds and scholarship amounts may vary from year to year, we are able to offer a scholarship for the 2024 camp season. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition for one camp. The recipient must provide their own transportation to and from camp; before and after care is not included.
If awarded a scholarship, the recipient’s parents/guardians must pay a 10% deposit to reserve the scholarship amount. This 10% deposit will be returned to the recipient’s parents/guardians at the completion of the chosen camp. If the recipient is unable to attend the camp for any reason, the recipient’s parents/guardians must notify the Registration Office by calling 215 968 8409 at least 10 days prior to the start of the chosen camp. The Registration Office will then refund the 10% deposit and will offer the scholarship to another candidate. Failure to notify the Registration Office of the recipient's inability to attend the camp will result in the recipient’s parents/guardians forfeiting their 10% deposit.
Applicants must:
1. Be a resident of Bucks County.
2. Have economic need. (ex: reside in county subsidized housing or participate in the school meal program)
3. Commit to attending a full camp session.
4. Meet good citizenship guidelines as determined by their school administrator.
5. Complete all required camp forms following notification of their Scholarship Award.
6. Include a short essay written with/by the child explaining why they want to come to camp.
