Do you like working with your hands and want to gain the skills to start a career in an in-demand field? Industrial Maintenance - electrical-mechanical training - may be for you.
Worker trained in industrial maintenance - electrical-mechanical manufacturing maintenance - are in high demand, and Bucks County Community College has partnered with local employers to fill numerous positions. Average starting salaries are $19 - $22/hour with benefits. Typical job titles: Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance/Mechanic Apprentice, Maintenance Assistant.
The 288-hour Pre-Apprentice Industrial Maintenance Training Program includes theory and hands-on skills training and introduces participants to the fundamental concepts and skills required by electro-mechanical technicians in manufacturing and a variety of industries. Electro-mechanical technicians combine knowledge of mechanical technology with knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits.

Take your next step with 12 weeks of free training and a job placement rate of over 90%! This program was recognized as a pre-apprenticeship program in 2019 by the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
Training is FREE for individuals who meet eligibility requirements. One-on-one job placement assistance is given to those that complete the program; 90% job placement rate.

Information sessions are held at the Center for Advanced Technologies, 1302 Veterans Highway, Bristol, PA.
Learn from industry experts with extensive experience in the field as they instruct curriculum that includes Safety, Basic Electricity (AC/DC Circuits), Electrical Fabrication, Mechanical Fabrication, Hydraulic & Pneumatic Basics and Troubleshooting, Electric Relay Control Concepts and Applied Practice, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Shop Math, Measurement, and Blueprint Reading. Students earn OSHA10 & Forklift Safety certifications.
Earn eight stackable credentials in 12 weeks to prepare for entry-level positions in manufacturing. Get ready for a new career, with in-demand skills for good-paying jobs.
In addition to free training and a valuable certification, earn 12 college credits in 12 weeks toward an associate's degree to prepare for entry-level positions in manufacturing.
Tuition: $6,500 or free for those that meet grant and program eligibility.
This program is funded by the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development's Manufacturing Training to Career Grant program.

Requirements for the program:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen/possess a Green Card
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must pass a drug screening, background screen (determined on a case-by-case basis), electro-mechanical aptitude test, and physical test
- Reliable transportation
- Must be ready to work in Industrial Maintenance
- Must be a Pennsylvania resident
