Restoration and Preservation of Tyler Hall and Formal Gardens
Restoration and preservation projects for Tyler Hall and Tyler Gardens are funded through proceeds from the annual Tyler Tasting Party. Since 1988, this event has raised more than $500,000 toward restoring the historic estate. Past projects included:
- Corridor and Foyer lighting fixtures
- Cleaning of bronze sculptures and tapestry
- Game Room painting, wallpaper stabilization, and window treatments
- Reception Area window treatments, furnishings and carpet replacement
- Corridor lighting fixture, painting and refurbishing
- Appraisal of Tyler furniture and donated artwork
- Display of original architectural drawings
- Cleaning and restoration of Venetian painting in Music Room
- Replacement of fountain flagstones in the Tyler Gardens
- Preservation of Tyler Hall architectural drawings
- Music Room window treatments and installation of crystal chandeliers
- Installation of gravel paths and sod, and repair of stone steps in the Tyler Gardens
- Repair and restoration of front doors
- Lighting and carpet replacement in Living Room
- Lighting and plexiglas installations in Game Room, Living Room, and Pewter Room

- Repair and reproduction of Tyler Cats by 3-D Sculpture Student Club

Support for Special College Projects and Initiatives
Since 1998, the Foundation has contributed $1,205,641 in support of special College projects and initiatives through its Allocations Committee. College faculty and staff have the opportunity to submit a request for funding from the Foundation via the College's Strategic Initiatives process at the beginning of each calendar year.
