The Bucks Sculpture Walk is a free sculpture exhibit featuring a combination of works on loan and permanent works within the beautifully landscaped grounds of Bucks County Community College’s Newtown Campus. The Sculpture Walk showcases multiple styles and media used by the artists and sculptors. Download the Sculpture Walk map and family-friendly Sculpture Scavenger Hunt and take a scenic walk across campus.
Sculpture has a long lineage on the Bucks County Community College campus dating back to before the college was founded. Stella Elkins Tyler was a sculptor and had a passion for the arts. She bequeathed the property and sculptures to Temple in 1963, where it was then sold to create BCCC. In 2017, Sculpture Walk was created to build upon what Stella Elkins Tyler begin almost a century before. Public art is essential to a diverse community by building opportunities for activating dialogue and providing a vehicle for the community to express its identity. This project will utilize the display of outdoor sculpture to enhance the historically established art environment of BCCC. These sculptures will continue to encourage the artistic transformation of the college, thus enhancing the experience for our students along with bringing visibility to BCCC in new and exciting ways.
