The Associate Degree Program is intended to offer graduates the opportunity to advance in the field of Paramedicine by adding roles in management or education. If completed simultaneously with the certificate program, students will be prepared to deliver care in the prehospital setting at an advanced level. Candidates are eligible to take the exam for Pennsylvania State EMS Paramedic certification. Must be 18 years old and hold a current Pennsylvania State EMT or EMT-A Certification.
Graduates of this program will be able to:
- Apply didactic knowledge and critical thinking skills to provide competent care of the prehospital patient;
- evaluate the ethical, legal, moral and cultural issues that impact the care of the prehospital client;
- model professionalism; and
- communicate effectively in professional and interpersonal contexts.
