Curriculum code No. 1214
The Film, Photography, and Digital Arts transfer major contains Cinema Video Production, Photography, and Multimedia Arts courses. The major equips the art student with the skills, and knowledge necessary for further training in a four-year professional or liberal arts institution and develops mastery of digital and lens-based arts and design in the student whose formal education ends after two years at the College. The program includes a variety of electives that allow students to tailor the program to their needs and interests.
For the non-art major many electives in art require no pre-requisite or portfolio evaluation.
Graduates of this program are able to
- Apply technical skills associated with Digital Media,
- develop a personal approach to creative problem-solving; and
- present a formal, professional-quality, portfolio of work which may be used to apply for admission to a four-year college and/or as part of an employment application.
Bucks County Community College is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
Note: Studio courses can be expensive. Lab Fees may be required.
