This course is a survey of visual art, film and literature created during and in response to the Holocaust. Students engage a variety of genres and media to develop their understanding of the diversity of Holocaust experience, the representation of trauma and atrocity, and art and literature as acts of memory and resistance.

This course provides a hands-on opportunity for students to work in the field of Holocaust and Genocide Studies to further academic and career pursuits. Major areas of focus include museum and archival work, human rights, and genocide prevention.
