In-School Youth Program
Bucks County Community College's In-School Youth {ISY} program is designed to help students transition from high school to the workforce, college, or military. The program helps participants overcome barriers, build confidence, and enhance the skills needed to enter and complete post-secondary education, military service, or be successful in the workplace. The ISY program provides students with meaningful work preparation experiences, exposure to higher education, and hands-on skill training for in-demand careers.
ISY programming provides students with a unique supplement to secondary education leading to increased high school retention rates and meaningful, sustainable employment in the community. Students will be offered opportunities with Bucks' industrial skills training programs, apprenticeship programs, and college admission counseling. The ISY program provides a combination of coursework, industry-recognized credentials, personalized academic assistance, and a robust suite of soft skills training designed to prepare students for academic and employment success.
Bucks County Community College's In-School Youth program provides students with tools and support necessary for students to become independent, self-sufficient members of and role models for their communities. Motivating youth, encouraging their persistence in education, and providing them with opportunities to acquire practical skills that directly transfer into meaningful careers aligns with the County's mission of remaining competitive and economically healthy. Bucks County Community College's In-School Youth is excited to play an integral role in building the future.
