Why do we need a Tobacco and Vape-Free Policy?
When will the policy go into effect?
The Tobacco and Vape-Free Policy is effective January 1, 2024.
How will the Tobacco and Vape-Free Policy be enforced?
The Office of Safety and Security will enforce the policy. Violation of the policy by students will result in disciplinary action defined by the Student Code of Conduct. Employees will receive a verbal warning, followed by a written warning from the Office of Human Resources.
Can I smoke or vape while on campus grounds?
No. Bucks County Community College is entirely smoke and tobacco-free as of January 1, 2024. The policy extends to all Bucks campuses and facilities, both indoor and outdoors, including but not limited to parking lots, sports/recreational areas, and green space.
What should I do if I see someone vaping or smoking?
Depending on your comfort level, you can respectfully inform them of the tobacco and vape free policy or contact the Office of Safety and Security.
