Milk Puzzle Trouble

**This is an event sponsored by Disability Pride.** Come try your luck at a challenging milk puzzle! Milk puzzles are puzzles that are more challenging than other puzzles--because there are no pictures, and only one color! Normally that color is white, like you spilled milk all over the puzzle. This event will be occuring until the puzzle is completed or until the end of the semester. The puzzle can be found in the puzzles and games corner of the 3rd floor of the Newotwn campus library--as soon as you ascend the main staircase, over into the right corner.
We ask that you kindly give it a shot, even if you don't get very far. I promise that it is possible!

If you wish to join the club, there will be a handy-dandy poster there with a QR code for our Discord server, plus info! We meet every Monday from 3-5 PM.

Fine Arts Fair Participant Sign-ups!

Hello all! If you're here, it probably means you're interested in participating in the first ever **Bucks County Community College Fine Arts Fair, presented by the Introverts Club!** For those unaware, this event will serve as an opportunity for all of the artists and performers of BCCC to show off their talents and to get eyes on their craft. This event will be held on **Tuesday, April 15th from 12:30-1:30pm in the Gallagher Room.** Each artist will be afforded a rectangular table in the Gallagher Room on which to present their works, and performers will have access to the stage in the Gallagher Room to use for whatever they need. Pizza and beverages will also be offered to paricipants and guests alike, and a donation box for EnsembleArts Philly will also be present for the duration of the event. If you're an aspiring artist or performer and this sounds interesting to you, check out the Google Form link attached to this page and get started!

In this new noncredit, 8-week program, participants will gain firsthand knowledge about the U.S. Constitution, the court system, immigration, criminal, and civil cases, and many more aspects of our government that every citizen should know. We Are On Our Own: Holocaust Graphic Narrative Book Talk

In her graphic narrative, We Are on Our Own, Miriam Katin tells the true story of her and her mother's escape on foot from the Nazi invasion of Budapest. After faking their deaths, the two escape into hiding, disguised as a Russian servant and her illegitimate child. Join our discussion, featuring Dr. Rachel Perry, to learn more about Holocaust graphic novels as a medium of memory.

Read ahead! Pick up a copy of the book at the Office of Social and Behavioral Science, Grupp Hall 301. ***Reading the book ahead of time is not required for the event.

Rachel Perry teaches in the Weiss-Livnat Graduate Program in Holocaust Studies at the University of Haifa and in the Holocaust and Human Rights program at Gratz College. Her research focuses on the representation and memory of the Holocaust and the Second World War in visual culture. She is currently Scholar in Residence at the Hadassah-Brandeis Institute writing a manuscript on Holocaust graphic albums and preparing an exhibition on the same topic, Who Will Draw Our History? Early Holocaust Graphic Narratives by Women Survivors, 1944-1949.

This program is supported by a grant from the Mark Schonwetter Holocaust Education Foundation.

Cultural Streaming Series: Duke Ellington and His Orchestra Live in Brussels

Take in recorded performances of leading classical and Jazz artists, ensembles, and orchestras from around the world in the comfort of the Zlock Performing Arts Center.

The year 1973 saw a Belgian edition of the Jazz from Newport event, featuring one of the very last performances that the great Duke Ellington ever gave. He passed away less than a year later and one of jazzs most important sparks of genius the one that got the whole world swinging faded out.
So-named Duke for his elegance and debonair image, hed lost none of his charm by his mid-70s, addressing the audience with the words: all the kids in the band want you to know that we do love you madly. Indeed, it was Dukes charm that held such appeal, but his ease belied a hard journey that began in Washington pool halls where he learnt to play piano as a teenager, and then as a young adult forced to play jungle music for all-white crowds on his way up.

A concert and poetry reading event elebrating the life and works of Dr. Christopher Bursk.

Pianist Jeff Baumeister of the School of Music has written songs based on the poetry of beloved Bucks professor, mentor, and poet Dr. Christopher Bursk (1943-2021). The songs are a mix of styles including, rock, funk, jazz, folk, and gospel. The band consists of the colleges music faculty and alumni.

Ticket proceeds benefit the Kerry Barber Scholarship Fund.

If interested, tickets are FREE to Bucks students with a current Bucks student ID. Tickets may be bought either online (free tickets are acquired via a special code obtained from the Box Office) or at the Zlock Box Office directly, located within the Gateway atrium.

Bucks Dance Showcase

Bucks County Community Colleges Dance program is presenting their Spring Dance Showcase. This showcase will be an accumulation of faculty work, student choreography, and screen dance excerpts. These works will explore different dance styles as well as original choreography.
The Dance Program at Bucks welcomes the community to attend and enjoy an evening of movement.
Directed by Bucks Dance Coordinator/ Dance Faculty Tia Kern.
