Founded in 1871 as an institute for teacher preparation, West Chester University is a comprehensive public institution, offering more than 118 undergraduate, 80+ graduate programs and 4 doctoral programs in more than 50 fields of study.
Transfer Agreements
Dual Admissions
Students will be guaranteed acceptance to West Chester University into a parallel program under the terms of the Dual Admission Agreement. To be eligible for the Dual Admission program, students must:
- Submit the West Chester Intent Form by 30 credits.
- Earn an AA, AS, AFA, AM, AAS and transfer into a parallel program (specific admissions requirements may apply). Exploratory Studies, Sports Medicine, Respiratory Care, and the traditional BSN program are not included.
- Enroll at West Chester within one year of graduation from Bucks.
- Do not attend another institution between graduation from Bucks and enrollment at West Chester.
Students who are part of West Chester Dual Admissions have the following advantages:
- Application fee is waived.
- Guaranteed housing, if deadlines are met.
- $2000.00 a year scholarship for full-time enrollment, renewable for 2 years with maintaining a 2.0 GPA.
RN-BSN Agreement
Students who complete the ASN program at Bucks will be guaranteed acceptance into the WCU RN-BSN program. This could also include a smooth transition into the WCU MSN program.
- Eligibility:
- Active RN License no later the second semester of the program.
- Minimum GPA of a 2.75.
- Completion of MATH115 Elementary Statistics
- Submit the admissions application no later than 3 months beforehand. Students would have up to two years to apply after graduation with the ASN.
- As a graduate of Bucks, General Education will be waived. The exception would be the Diverse Communities requirement.
