Tyler Formal Gardens
The Bucks Historic Preservation program actively supports the work of the Tyler Formal Gardens at the Newtown campus.
Tyler Formal Gardens served as the "outdoor parlor" of George F. and Stella Elkins Tyler, original owners of the estate that became Bucks County Community College.
Through coursework and volunteer opportunities, Preservation students have invested hundreds of hours of time to interpret the gardens and restore them to their 1930s-era design.
Tyler Formal Gardens is also a member of the Greater Philadelphia Gardens initiative to celebrate America's Garden Capital.
If you would like to schedule a tour of the Tyler Formal Gardens and/or the Tyler Historic District, including Tyler Hall and Courtyard, please contact the BCCC Foundation at 215.968.8224 or foundation@bucks.edu.
