Scholarships
The following scholarships are available to Criminal Justice majors
Det. Sgt. George F. Stuckey Memorial Scholarship
Application
Established by the Bristol Township Police Benevolent Association to honor one of their own; Bristol Township Police Det. Sgt. George F. Stuckey, who was shot and killed in the line of duty on March 29, 1972. Det. Sgt. Stuckey was fatally wounded during a shootout with suspects who had just robbed a nearby bank. This dedicated officer made the ultimate sacrifice on Bath Road, Bristol, Pa., within sight of the Bristol Township Police Headquarters. Det. Sgt. Stuckey left behind a wife and two children. He is missed, but never to be forgotten.
This scholarship is open to a second-year student who, at the time of application, completed a minimum of 30 credits at BCCC, possesses a 2.5 cumulative GPA or better, and is enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits in the Department of Social & Behavioral Science’s Criminal Justice program with an emphasis in police administration. Preference is given to applicants who reside in Bristol Township.
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
$500 will be credited to the recipient’s student account in the fall semester. Upon the recipient’s return to BCCC for the spring or summer semester, the second $500 installment will be credited.
Detective Charles C. Favoroso Memorial Scholarship
Application
This scholarship is open to a second-year student who, at the time of application, completed a minimum of 30 credits at BCCC, possesses a 2.5 cumulative GPA or better, and is enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credits in the Department of Social & Behavioral Science’s Criminal Justice program with an emphasis in police administration. Preference is given to applicants who reside in Bristol Borough.
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
$500 will be credited to the recipient’s student account in the fall semester. Upon the recipient’s return to BCCC for the spring or summer semester, the second $500 installment will be credited.
Grainger Scholarship
Application
This scholarship provides financial assistance for tuition, fees and books/supplies to students enrolled in Bucks County Community College's Department of Social & Behavioral Science, majoring in one of the following credit or certificate programs:
- Criminal Justice
- Fire Science
- Emergency Management and Public Safety (Credit)
- Emergency Management and Public Safety (Certificate)
