- This course focuses on the physics, theories, application, and instrumentation of computed tomography equipment. Students discuss quality control procedures and the appearance, prevention of computed tomography image artifacts and adjustment required for correction.

- describe the history of computed tomography;
- differentiate the difference between the generations of computed tomography machinery;
- explain the function of the principal components of the computed tomography scanner; and
- evaluate computed tomography images for evidence of appropriate image quality.
