- This course enhances the student's knowledge of cross-sectional human anatomy using computed tomographic and magnetic resonance images. Students study the anatomical sections of the extremities, thorax, pelvis, abdomen, spine, head and neck in the transaxial, sagittal, and coronal planes.

Course Learning Goals
Students will:
- differentiate major anatomical regions in the transverse, coronal and sagittal plane;
- identify major anatomical structures of the head, neck, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, spine and extremities on cross-sectional images;
- define the role cross-sectional imaging plays in patient care; and
- identify pathology demonstrated within cross-sectional images.
