- VI. Catalog Course Description
- Radiographic Procedures III is designed to provide the knowledge base necessary to perform radiographic procedures of the cranium, sinuses, facial bones, and contrast media studies. This course combines didactic coursework and laboratory simulation. The laboratory portion of the course gives the student opportunity to practice and demonstrate their proficiency.

Students will:
- describe the anatomical structures demonstrated on routine radiographic/ fluoroscopic and vascular imaging procedures;
- demonstrate radiographic/ fluoroscopic procedures in a laboratory setting;
- evaluate radiographic/ fluoroscopic images for positioning, centering, appropriate anatomy and overall quality;
- distinguish between the types, dosage and route of contrast media, administration used to perform radiographic, gastrointestinal studies and special studies; and
- choose the problem-solving process used for image analysis.
