- VI. Catalog Course Description
- Students will be assigned to clinical areas and attend clinical education for 16 hours per week. In the clinical setting, the student will demonstrate their knowledge in ethical situations, legal issues, evaluation of radiographic images and patient care situations.

Course Learning Goals
At the completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- discuss ethics and the elements of ethical behavior and apply these principles;
- explain the legal implications of professional liability, malpractice, professional liability, professional negligence/ carelessness and other legal doctrines applicable to professional practice;
- demonstrate proper evaluation of a requisition, evaluation of patient assessment, facility readiness, patient care and management, equipment operation and technique selection, positioning skills, radiation protection for patient, self and others, image processing, and evaluation of the resulting radiograph;
- evaluate the processed image for proper anatomical parts, alignment, radiographic technique, and image identification and radiation protection;
- demonstrate proper patient care skills, interpersonal skills and use of time; and
- demonstrate required radiographic procedure competencies.

Assessment Methods for Course Learning Goals
Student assessment consists of weekly evaluations, semester evaluation and radiographic procedural competency grades, evaluated by the clinical coordinator.
