- Students must pass the AHA and exams to receive a card for ACLS and PALS. Students must pass the NAEMT exam to receive a card for PHTLS. Course fees may apply.
- VI. Catalog Course Description
- This course provides the paramedic student with the knowledge and principles of advanced life support. Students will obtain certification in ACLS, PALS and PHTLS.

Students will:
- Demonstrate effective teamwork during all life-support events;
- Demonstrate the qualities of team leader for life-support events; and
- Incorporate knowledge of pharmacology and pathophysiology to the care of patients in life-support events.
