- This course provides students with an opportunity to perform patient assessments and documentation in an emergency setting. Students communicate with other healthcare providers such as emergency room employees and 911 emergency call center staff.

Course Learning Goals
Students will:
- Use the appropriate techniques to obtain a medical history from a patient;
- Follow an accepted format for dissemination of patient information in verbal form;
- Demonstrate teamwork with a focus on interdisciplinary situations; and
- Effectively document the essential elements of patient assessment, care, and transport.
