- Students in this course develop self-awareness, critical thinking skills, and problem solving techniques to identify credit and/or non-credit learning opportunities aligned with their academic and/or professional interests, and plan accordingly.

Course Learning Goals
Students will:
- demonstrate self-awareness by identifying and evaluating their personality traits;
- identify credit and non-credit learning opportunities that coincide with their academic and/or professional interests;
- identify academic and/or professional interests by conducting research about careers, academic, and /or professional interests;
- apply the entrepreneurial skills of self-awareness, problem solving, and critical thinking to create a comprehensive plan to pursue their academic and/or professional interests.

Planned Sequence of Topics and/or Learning Activities
- Use personality inventory assessments and self-awareness exercises to identify personal characteristics.
- Use Bucks County Community College career resources to evaluate potential careers with respect to their interests and aptitudes.
- Identify and evaluate academic fields and/or disciplines which match their interests and aptitudes.
- Identify challenges to pursuing academic and/or professional interests.
- Apply problem solving and critical thinking techniques to develop a strategy for overcoming those challenges.
- Present research on a specific career, academic, and /or professional interests at the Student Research Conference.
- Create a comprehensive academic plan that furthers academic and/or professional interests. Plans may include changes of Program of Study (POS) or Concentration(s), as appropriate. Guided Studies majors confirm their Concentrations as appropriate.
