- This course requires the student to learn cross-sectional anatomy of the body in the transverse, longitudinal and coronal planes. Emphasis is placed on how the organs and vessels are visualized sonographically for required images.

Course Learning Goals
Students will:
- identify cross-sectional anatomy in a sonographic image;
- identify the planes of the body and how they pertain to cross-sectional anatomy;
- define the terminology related to cross-sectional anatomy; and
- critique sonographic images of the commonly imaged organs and body systems.
