- This course provides students with the knowledge and skills required to provide advanced care for critically ill and injured animals. The course will cover intensive care principles, practices, and patient management.

Course Learning Goals
Students will
- Perform thorough assessments of critically ill patients, including history taking, physical examination, and assessment of vital signs;
- Employ advanced monitoring equipment, such as ECG, blood pressure monitoring, capnography, and pulse oximetry;
- Provide mechanical ventilation and non-invasive respiratory support to animals with respiratory distress; and
- Perform wound management, catheter care, and management of invasive lines according to current professional standards.
