- Students rotate through the prehospital and hospital settings to gain experience in assessing and treating patients.

Course Learning Goals
Students will:
- Integrate pathophysiological principles of pharmacology and the assessment findings to formulate a field impression and implement a pharmacologic management plan;
- Prepare medications under the supervision of a preceptor;
- Use the appropriate route to administer medications (including IV, IM, ET, IO and SC) under the supervision of a preceptor;
- Establish and/or maintain a patent airway through BLS and ALS principles;
- Select and use appropriate airway adjuncts and ventilate neonates, infants, children and adults; and
- Evaluate patient condition pre- and post-intervention.
