- This course satisfies the transfer requirements for Physical Education majors. Content includes the history, etiquette, rules, terminology, and safe performance of bowling and volleyball. Teaching, practice, and team play experience is provided. Lifetime health benefits related to proper nutrition and exercise physiology are examined.

Course Learning Goals
- The student will learn valid concepts of nutrition and how to apply them to their diet.
- The student will learn valid concepts of exercise physiology and how to apply them to volleyball and bowling.
- To learn the history, values and present practices in bowling and volleyball.
- To learn and apply the rules, regulations, terminology, and fundamentals of both sports.
- To learn and recognize the influences that both sports have on the physiology and psychological well being of the individual.
- To learn the various types of equipment needed for successful participation. To properly fit and evaluate the weight of a bowling ball needed to enhance the learning skills needed in the bowling aspect of the course.
- To learn the proper warm-up and conditioning exercises that will lead to participation without undue stress, strain, or potential injury.
- To provide the drills and repeated practices needed to acquire the proper skills for both sports.
