All journalism classes
are held in our state-of-the-art student newspaper newsroom.
Outside class, you'll hit the streets to cover real stories.
In the editing course you'll learn to use Adobe InDesign layout
software, which is used by newspapers across the country. |
You'll learn how to write
a news story and dig up information using the Internet and
other methods. But you won't just sit in class - you'll get
out into the college and the community to cover stories for

NEWSPAPER EDITING AND PAGE LAYOUT |
You'll learn how to edit
stories, write headlines and do layout with Adobe InDesign
software. Students in this class are actively involved in

WRITING FOR PRINT AND ONLINE MEDIA |
Learn how to write longer
articles - everything from profiles to news features - for
both newspapers, magazines and websites. PREREQUISITE: JOUR175 |
Students in our advanced
reporting class cover town government and school board
meetings, trials and the police beat. Reporters from local
papers visit the class to talk about their jobs.

WEBCAST NEWS PRODUCTION |
Students use digital
video cameras and advanced editing software to produce video
news reports that are shown on the Centurion website.

earn college credit by doing a part-time internship at the
Bucks County Courier Times. See instructor for details. |
