Express Employment Professionals Endows Annual Scholarship

Business owners Leo and Marie Craig donate $8,500 to help students at Bucks 

A new scholarship is now available at Bucks County Community College thanks to local business owners Leo and Marie Craig of Express Employment Professionals.

The Craigs have been building their scholarship fund for over 13 years and felt that given the current economic situation many students are facing, now was the right time to create the endowment. Enrollment at BCCC is on the rise, signaling that more and more students are looking for more affordable higher education options in Bucks County, according to Leo Craig.

“We are so thrilled that this endowed scholarship will allow us to offer an annual scholarship to students pursuing degrees at our local community college,” said Craig. “At Express, our ultimate mission is to help people succeed. In our daily business, we do this by helping people find good jobs and helping companies find qualified workers. This scholarship is just one more way we can equip individuals in Bucks County to build a thriving and rewarding career.” 

Craig recently presented the nearly $8,500 endowment to College President Dr. James J. Linksz. The first Express Employment Professionals Scholarship will be awarded this spring, benefiting a current BCCC student who majors in a program of study in one of the College’s six academic departments. Applicants must be enrolled in a minimum of six credits and possesses a minimum 2.5 grade point average.
