Reception: Thursday, September 17, 5 – 7 p.m. Curator’s gallery talk at 6 p.m.

Curated by Rebecca Kelly and featuring 34 artists from the mid-Atlantic region whose work is made with recycled or reused materials. A companion show of the same name specifically geared to school children is in Artmobile, the college's traveling art museum. In conjunction with transFORMation and in collaboration with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit, a Recycled Books Workshop with artist Mark Wangberg will take place in Hicks Art Center on Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Participants may earn five Act 48 hours.

The Fine Woodworking Program at Thirty

Reception:  Monday, November 16, 6 – 8 p.m. Curator’s gallery talk at 7:30 p.m.

Featuring the work of nine distinguished alumni of the Fine Woodworking Program at Bucks County Community College - Jake Antonelli, Ken Burton, George Dubinsky, Douglas Finkel, Douglas W. Jones, BrianPaul Kolakowski, Joanne Shima, Ward Stevens, Bill Stowe. Curated by Mark Sfirri.

 


 

Imprint/Impact

January 20 - March 9, 2010

Reception:  Wednesday, February 3, 5 – 7 p.m. Curator’s gallery talk at 6 p.m.

Planned in conjunction with Philagrafika and curated by printmaker Caren Friedman, Imprint/Impact features the work of Tony Rosati, John Strawn, Shelley Thorstensen, and Sergei Tsvetkov.  These artists have been selected for the quality of their work, for their dedication to the printmaking medium, and for their connection to both the contemporary art world and to the visual arts community of Bucks County.

 


 

15th Annual Bucks County High School Art Exhibition

April 5 - 11, 2010

Closing reception:  Sunday, April 11, 2 - 4 p.m. Award ceremony at 2:30.

High school art teachers throughout the county select their students’ work for display and for submission to the Congressional Art Competition (juried by the Department of the Arts).

 


 

45th Annual Student Exhibition

April 24 – May 8, 2010

Reception:  Sunday, May 2, 1 - 4 p.m. Award ceremony at 2 p.m.

A showcase of the best work made by students in the Department of the Arts including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, digital media, two-dimensional design, three-dimensional design, sculpture, fine woodworking, ceramics, jewelry, glass, web design, graphic design and music. Presented in conjunction with Arts at Bucks.
