Do I need to take an entrance exam?
No entrance exam is required. However, you will be asked to take a placement test to assess your reading, writing and math abilities. This will help your Academic Advisor to place you in the appropriate courses.
How do I know what classes I should take?
Before registering, you will meet with an Academic Advisor who will assist you in selecting courses based on your assessment test scores and the requirements of your major. The College catalog outlines these courses and the sequence you should follow.
I want to change my career or update my job skills. Can you help me?
Yes. Our Career Counselor will help you to determine which program and courses will best match your career goals. The Career Counselor will also assist you in determining your interests and strengths pertaining to new career areas.
How do I plan a schedule with my busy life?
Your Academic Advisor or counselor will help you to evaluate your schedule and courses needs and then help you to determine the options that will best match the demands of your lifestyle.
How can I brush up on my skills?
Courses, workshops, and orientation programs are offered in areas such as time management, study skills, math anxiety, and test preparation. Once enrolled as a student, the Tutoring Center offers one-on-one assistance in math, reading, and writing.
Are student services available for evening students?
Many of our services are available to evening students. However, hours may be limited or you may need to make an appointment in order to access these services.
Is financial assistance available?
Yes. The Financial Aid Office will help you to determine your needs and assist you in obtaining financial assistance. Since there are deadlines for most funding sources, contact this office as soon as possible.
