Three campuses plus Online Learning.

Congratulations. You’ve made the right choice with Bucks. Now it’s time to take the next step—to find out what’s involved in the application process. It’s not hard, but there are specific things you will need to know…and choices that you can make along the way.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, although it’s never wise to procrastinate. Those who apply for admission as early as possible can usually be assured of optimal course availability. Another timing consideration should be deadlines for specific financial aid scholarships, such as the May 1 deadline for a limited number of Dean's Academic Scholarships. More scholarship information here.

Get started

  • The first step is to submit an official Application for Admission. All online submissions are free, while paper submissions incur a $30 nonrefundable processing fee. If you plan to receive Financial Aid, the Office of Admissions will need an official copy of either your high school transcript or GED scores.
  • Students who are enrolling at Bucks for the first time are required to take placement testing after applying for admission. For part-time students, this testing is required before registering for your 16th credit hour. Criteria for testing exemptions are listed here.
  • Your test results are used for academic advising and program planning to help you get the most out of your college education. Your advisor will help you plan your program of study and register for your first semester of courses.
  • You may be eligible for scholarships, grants or loans to help pay for your college education. Explore your options for Financial Aid.
  • With our Dual Admission program, you are guaranteed admission into your choice of a growing list of four-year colleges and universities upon graduation from Bucks with an associate degree and a minimum cumulative grade point average. You can complete a Dual Admissions Intent form for a specific institution anytime before completing 30 transferable credits.

If you don’t quite fit the traditional definition of “new student,” you should know the following:

Readmission: Students who withdrew from Bucks and seek to return must reapply and fulfill all other admission requirements before their application can be processed.

Previous college experience:
Students who have attended other colleges are welcome at Bucks. They must fulfill all admission requirements and provide transcripts from each college attended.

Students who want to transfer credit from another institution to Bucks must submit official transcripts along with a Transcript Evaluation Request form. Students may submit nonofficial or student copies of their transcripts to be reviewed for potential exemption from placement testing.

High School Enrichment:
Current high school students seeking to complete their graduation requirements or to enroll in courses supplemental to high school instruction may be eligible to enroll in the Bucks High School Enrichment program.

“ I love the diversity of Bucks students…both cultural diversity and generational. I have students who are 19 and students in their sixties, with zero college experience and with master’s degrees. ”
